
Once the component parts are cut out it's time to iron them into one fusible applique. I place the original drawing under a
teflon pressing sheet. Then I begin to work from background to foreground. Here are the legs, hands, wings, hair and face. These are the first to be ironed down. I just take the tip of the iron and touch each piece. If you have a small applique iron, this works well also. Then the larger parts such as the dress and heart are ironed last. Let the applique cool for a few and then peel her away from the pressing sheet.
