Heavenly Host

Here she is ironed onto a multi layer of fabrics. From the bottom up, there is a layer of white muslin (other solid light fabrics can be used here), then low-loft batting such as Warm 'n Natural, then I had some fusible interfacing that I wanted to use up, so used that, then the angel applique placed on top. All layers are fused, using pressing cloth. Lots of heat and steam work best in this step. Leaving it to dry and cool off before cutting is always hard to do - I just want to get her done! I also placed a hanging cord between her head and interfacing layer. Be sure to cut around the cord and not through it!
