About a month ago, I took these shots of a neighbor's cactus bloom explosion. These beautiful flowers are the reward and well worth the wait. They just last 24 hours and then they are gone, but how beautiful they are while fresh from opening. There is rugged beauty in the Sonoran Desert where we live. We just have to wait for the right time!
