Convergence quiltmaking-a quilt I've seen but never thought I'd attempt-too complicated. Follow these pictures and steps to the final 'vision!' This is based on Ricky Tims' design and with the help of my good friend, Sherry Bousley, I actually was able to get through this design. In fact, we finished so fast, it was done before I could take it all in! Four fat quarters (or quarter flats) are all that's needed to make this top. As you can see, high contrast is good, but not necessary. Beautiful designs always reward the quiltmaker, regardless of fabric choice. I am just going to have to go back to the sewing room with another four fabrics and begin to converge once again!
